Innocence

The lightest body in the series, and the least defended. The surface is pale, the sculpture barely raised, the gold used sparingly and only where it is needed. Innocence in this series is not the absence of damage. It is what remains intact after it, the part of a person that keeps arriving at things new. Jung held that the child in us is not something to grow out of but something to recover. She is that recovery, standing very still.
