Life has unexpected miracles, and homes have unexpected spaces. Where words are silent, colour speaks.
A hallway hung with Cherry Forest becomes a thirteen foot passage with a small wonder in it, a forest and its blossom that you walk through on an ordinary morning in your own home. A bedroom wall can hold a story that goes on telling itself while you sleep.
The colour carries its own history. Hemp and jute crossed from the far east of Asia into Europe on the backs of wanderers and in the caravans of the Silk Road, as sacking for coffee beans and rice, as rope and as sail. The cloth arrives already travelled, and it brings that with it into a room.
Because the fiber has no rigid frame, it has no real boundaries either. It will take a curved wall and wrap a corner, so the work holds you rather than hangs opposite you.
Hospitality
Hotel-grade, tactile warmth that photographs beautifully and sets a space apart from a generic one. My work has been placed at Faena, 1 Hotel South Beach, and SLS Brickell. Lobby-scale commissions and seasonal loans are available.
Architects & Designers
The large fiber works function as architectural elements. Free of a rigid frame, flipped, hung from a ceiling, or used as a partition, they divide a space without a load-bearing wall. Designer pricing and site-specific commissions are available, and I handle logistics and installation myself.
Offices & Commercial Spaces
One large piece changes how a room feels. The surfaces are tactile and calming, made to soften hard commercial finishes and give a lobby, a waiting room, or an office its own quiet center. Sized and commissioned to the wall.
Galleries
I welcome conversations about representation, exhibitions, and consignment. The work reads from across a room and rewards a close look, and it gives a space its center. If you place artists with your collectors, let’s talk.
Private Collectors
Every piece is original and impossible to repeat, double-sided and limited in series. Collectors live with the work over years, and it grows a collection that speaks to itself. Studio visits are by appointment, and I’m glad to advise on placement.
