Nazareth

Extra large and wide, hemp and jute with ink, wood and raw edges, with Robert Frost poems from a vintage book worked into the surface. The book was a gift, received in Australia, already old then and older now. The pages have gone the color of weak tea. Standing over the burlap one day the two things turned out to be the same material: both full of stories, both wearing their history on the surface. So the pages went in. The road not taken is somewhere in the weave, and so is the person who chose it.
