Vintage Poppy

A poppy, framed like a keepsake. Small and deliberately old-fashioned in its presentation, it behaves like something pressed and kept rather than painted. The poppy carries sleep and remembrance in equal measure, and at this scale it belongs on a shelf at eye level, close enough to be a private matter between the work and whoever is standing there.
