Dream Theater
Dream Theater
A deconstructed sculpture spreads across the center of the canvas, in acrylic and plaster, monochrome blue. The ocean requires a certain nakedness of the body, and so does the soul. The relief is raised enough to throw its own shadow, so the piece changes through the day without anyone touching it. Blue does most of the work. It is the color we reach for when we mean depth, distance and the thing we cannot quite say, and here it is given a body and asked to hold still.
